Description

Everyone goes through trouble. Christian or non-Christian. There is no way of getting around it. To promise anyone that if they turn from a life of sin and give their life over to Jesus Christ, that it would keep them from having trouble, would be telling them a lie. In John 16:33 Jesus Himself said in the middle of that verse, “In this world, you will have tribulation (TROUBLE).” Jesus doesn’t promise to stop trouble from coming our way, but He does promise to change you and me as we go through a world of trouble.

The first part of that verse says, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have PEACE.” And the last part of the verse says, “but take courage (be of good cheer) PRAISE; I have overcome the world.” So right there is a cycle that Jesus shows us that we will go through time and time again. PEACE, PROBLEMS, and PRAISE!

In Psalms 3 (go grab your bible and see) King David was thrown into the middle of trouble by his son Absalom who killed his brother Amnon in revenge for sexually violating his sister Tamar. Then subsequently launched a coup to overthrow David and take over the kingdom. But God intervened and David wrote this Psalms in memory of it. Pastor DeWayne F. Davis Sr. titled it, “Turning Troubles Into Triumph!”
